Note 3 of 7
BNB Game Balance: Checking the Number After the Deposit Lands
A deposit does not end when the wallet says it has been sent. It ends when the figure in the account matches the figure you intended, and checking that takes a minute that most people skip.
This note is about that last comparison, and about which differences are ordinary and which mean a line of the checklist was missed.
What the credited amount should equal
The account should show the amount that arrived, which is the amount sent when the wallet paid the fee separately, or the amount after deduction when the fee came out of it. Open the transaction on the explorer for the network and read the value moved; the balance should agree with it.
If the explorer shows a different amount from your own record, the difference is the fee treatment described in the note on fees. If it shows the right amount and the account shows nothing, the cause is on the operator’s side, and the next step is to give them the hash.
Rounding and display
Displays round. Cloudbet’s currency data, for example, lists 18 decimals for BNB on the chain and 8 decimal places for the amount, which suggests a balance cannot show digits past the eighth place. A difference that small is rounding; a difference in the second decimal place is not.
Also check that the lobby shows the balance in the currency you funded. A figure in dollars beside a figure in BNB can look like a shortfall when it is only the exchange rate at the moment of looking.
When the balance is different for a reason on your side
A balance that is simply absent, with the transfer visible on a different network’s explorer, points to the network line. A balance that is absent with the transfer visible on the right explorer points to the amount line, if it was below the minimum, or to a field the cashier wanted and did not receive. These are the first things to establish, and they are the reason to keep the screenshot of the cashier from the start.
Short answers
Should the balance match the amount I typed into the wallet?
Only if the wallet paid the fee separately. If the fee was deducted from the amount, the balance will be lower by that fee.
